As a key load-bearing structure in modern construction, the durability of reinforced concrete (RC) structures is influenced by numerous factors. Under multi-hazard environments, material performance changes make structural damage and repair issues more complex. A university conducting research on "durability repair and damage monitoring of RC structures" introduced a passive multi-hazard environment simulation climate chamber.

The passive multi-hazard environment simulation climate chamber integrates multiple extreme climate simulation functions, including extreme climate, CO2 environment simulation, and corrosive multi-hazard environments such as chloride salt attack, enabling simulation of multiple coupled environments and providing controllable experimental conditions for durability repair and damage monitoring of reinforced concrete (RC) structures.
The passive chamber requires no external energy - it maintains internal temperature stability through the physical properties of materials and structural design, reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions. This aligns with the green development philosophy of the national "dual carbon" goals, ensures orderly research progress, and creates greater value for the university's scientific research.
